The term Page Rank refers to the quantification of these factors. Page Rank or PR is a measure of how important a page is. Note that I said ‘page’, not ‘site’. A page has PR, not a site. Acquiring Page Rank is more complicated that just acquiring a quantity of links. The quality of a link has great influence on Page Rank. A quality link is a link coming into your site from a site that itself has a good page.

A one way link means that a web site links to your web site, but you don’t link back to that web site. One way links are also known as non-reciprocal links. One way links helps you to improve your search engine ranking, page rank & link popularity.

A one-way link is just what it says. You get a link without having to give a link back. One-way links count a lot more than swapping links. They appear to be a truer endorsement of your site, an endorsement that says your site must really be good because there was no reciprocation.

One way links are thought to be more valuable than reciprocal links in terms of boosting your web site’s link popularity & Page Rank, therefore the more one way links your web site has, the higher your web site’s chances to perform well in search engines.

Remember, One way links are thought to be more valuable as they appear to be a more “natural” way of linking between web sites. If you imagine that you find a great resource for your web site, you link to that resource; however, that resource web site doesn’t link back to you, so thus this is an advantage for them to get a one way link from your website. Similarly when other websites links to you without you giving them any link weighs more importance for your website from search engine perspective.
